These were a bit larger than expected. I bought the exact pair I had before, and usually the fit is tight initially and they stretch out, so I don't know why these were different. Other than that, these were just as expected.

These are very warm, rugged, comfortable, nice-looking ugg-type shearling boots. However, they run very small in length with very little room for toes, while at the same time they are also too wide. I normally wear a women's size 11, but I purchased size 12 since so many of the reviews say to go up a size, and I'm glad I did. These 12s are still a little on the short side & crowding my toes, while simultaneously slipping/too wide in the heel. Makes me think these are assembled on a Men's last, not Women's. Also, the shaft is not sheepskin but cowhide, with an extra layer of sheepskin/fleece on the inside, which makes them stand up & look really fat. Ok if you have thinner legs like I do, I guess, but on someone who has larger calves these boots simply would not work. I'm keeping this pair because the price was great, but next time I'll get Uggs.

Another data point on sizing: I wear 11.5 in most shoes. I bought the 11 and the 12 to see which worked best for me (with the inserts). The 11 fit snugly with just a pair of regular athletic socks - a little room at the heel but pretty tight around the toes. The 12 was somewhat loose with just these socks but not uncomfortably so.

With a thicker sock (Dickies brand heavyweight crew) AND the thinner athletic sock (Puma), the 12 fits perfectly. The 11 is too snug. However, with just the thick socks, the 11 is perfectly snug (which you want in boots since they lack the ankle support that laced shoes provide) and the 12 still has a little too much room. Since the boots are so warm already, I don't want to wear more than the heavyweight crew socks for fear my feet will sweat too much. So, the smaller or larger size could be right for you if you are a half-size - just depends on what type of socks you are going to wear. I went with the 11s.

They fell apart on me after only 8 months. Ripped at the seem. Since my previous ariat boots lasted over 4 years with heavy use I was expecting the same from these. I really love these boots though. They are so comfortable. I want to get another pair but I'm hesitant since I need a boot that can hold up with heavy barn work.

I love the look of these shoes, but they require a lot of work. After only a day at the office they look scuffed and worn (but not the good kind). Also, I typically buy Born shoes, and these are not nearly as comfortable.

VERY NARROW sent back looks like a cheap spring break up boot with a really nice liner
For the price I wish I could have kept them the length seamed right for the size
But the width was like putting my foot in a vice if you have narrow feet probably OK
Also if you can endure till the liner forms to your foot Wish I could have found some in
A wide width Can't find anything on Amazon they sell medium sized width
With the liner they need to be made wider
I did buy a pair of Kamic Canuck felt packs that haven't arrived yet

These boots are alright in comfort and size. The problem is that the company shipped me a pair of boots that should NOT have passed quality control. There is a lace at the top that goes around the boot, meant for tightening down so that you know, snow and such doesn't get IN your boot. Well, after we just got some impressive snow yesterday (18 inches), I go to tighten down the top and low and behold, someone had sewn one of the aglet ends right into the boot. Now, yes, I can tie them, even if it is awkward. The thing is, they sent these, knowing that they were not correct, and at full price. I know that someone noticed it because when I went to tie the boots, I had to first UNtie their first "out of the box strange tie configuration". That's when I noticed it. I'm getting replacements but now I have to drop them off at UPS, which is sort of annoying when you live 20 miles from one. I hope that the quality of the boot surpasses the first impression.
